JCC Association Announces the Hire of Jennifer Mamlet as Its first Chief Development Officer
Veteran JCC executive’s extensive fundraising experience will benefit the entire movement
NEW YORK – JCC Association of North America announced today the hire of Jennifer Mamlet as its first Chief Development Officer. Mamlet is an accomplished JCC executive and a seasoned fundraiser with a deep and passionate commitment to the movement. She brings to this newly created position more than 15 years of fundraising and nonprofit management experience, which will help JCC Association expand its approach to financial resource development and diversify its opportunities with philanthropic organizations and individuals.
Mamlet is currently the executive director at the JCC of Central New Jersey in Scotch Plains. Previously, she worked as the senior vice president of development at the Ad Council, a nonprofit organization that creates comprehensive, integrated communication campaigns for around 50 nonprofit organizations at any given time. During her tenure at the Ad Council, she helped to double its annual revenue from $3.5 million to more than $7 million.
“As part of our executive team, Jen will bring a new level of leadership and innovation to our evolving development efforts,” said Doron Krakow, JCC Association’s president, and CEO. “With her intimate knowledge of JCCs, as well as her fundraising acumen, she understands what it takes to engage major philanthropy in the unique opportunities the JCC Movement platform provides.”
Mamlet has led the JCC of Central New Jersey for over five years, and in that time has been a significant presence in the JCC movement, both within and beyond her participation at the JCCs of North America Biennials, professional conferences, and Executive Leadership Seminars and much more.
Earlier in her career, Mamlet worked at the New York section of the American Camp Association as the director of SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education), a nonprofit program that raises funds to send inner-city youth to summer camp. She has also worked as a clinical social worker in New York City and began her career as a high school Spanish teacher at the Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey. She will join JCC Association’s New York office in November.
