This year marks the centennial of the Jewish Welfare Board, founded on April 9, 1917, three days after the United States entered World War I.
As a way to honor Jews who have served in the United States armed forces over the last 100 years—and even earlier—please add your name or the name of a family member to our JWB Centennial Registry.
Whether a chaplain or lay leader, currently on active duty, a veteran, or one fallen during military service, we wish to honor Jewish service personnel in our military by creating as complete an archive as possible of the Jewish men and women who have born arms for this country and defended the ideals upon which it was founded.
This archive will be with JWB in perpetuity. It will help present a fuller picture of the ways Jews have served our nation, both in times of peace and in times of war.
After you register yourself or someone else, please download a special certificate created to acknowledge this service.
JWB Jewish Chaplains Council acknowledges the sacrifice of all who served, and those who continue to serve our nation’s armed forces.
